Opening ceremony of Marine Headquarters, SLNS Vidura

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunarathna declared open the Marine Headquarters, SLNS Vidura which is situated in Sampoor, Trincomalee today (29th July 2017). The Officers’ Wardroom, Messes for the senior and junior sailors and the administration building together with the classroom building were ceremonially opened accordingly.Chief of Staff Rear Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe, the Commander Eastern Naval Area Rer Admiral Travis Sinniah, Secretary to Commander of the Navy and Director General Budget and Finance Rear Admiral Udaya Hettiarachchi, Director Naval Land Opertions Commodore UI Serasinghe, Commading Officer for the 1st Marine Battalion Commander Indika Wijayarathna and a host of officers from the Naval Headquarters and Eastern Naval Command participated to grace the occasion.
