The final field training exercise of ‘B’ Coy
the final amphibious exercise Blue Whale III of the Sri Lanka Navy 1st Marine Battlion ‘B’ Coy executed today (12th July 2017) at the thiriyaya beach, Tricomalee. Hundread and fifty nine (159) Marines of the ‘B’ Coy took part in this exercise demonstrated at the cost of Sagarapura in the vicinity of SLNS Wlagamba in the Eastern Naval Command. SLNS Ranavijaya, SLN Landin Craft 821, 04 Fast Attack Crafts, 01 Fast Gun Boat, 08 Inshore Patrol Crfts and 02 F7 fighter aircrafts with 01 MI 17 helicopter of the Sri Lanka Air Force were involved in this exercise. Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Travis Sinniah, Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet, Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera, Director Naval Land Operations, Commodore UI Serasinghe and senior officers from the command were present to witness the proceedings of the exercise.
