NEWLY CONSTRUCTED DENTAL SURGERY UNIT & SENIOR SAILORS HOLIDAY BUNGALOW IN SLNS VIDURA WAS DECLARED OPEN BY THE COMMANDER EASTERN NAVAL AREA

Establishing good oral hygiene and dietary habits have been proven to be essential to achieving and maintaining, overall physical and emotional well – being of service personnel.

The newly constructed Dental Surgery unit in SLNS Vidura was declared open on 20th March 2023 by the Commander Eastern Naval Area & Commandant Volunteer Naval Force, Rear Admiral HGU Dammika Kumara on remarking World Oral Health day. The new facility has been put up in order to fulfil mandatory requirements of good oral hygiene for Trincomalee Southern naval personnel.

Further, newly constructed Senior Sailors’ Holiday Bungalow also declared open by the chief guest at the same day. Senior Sailors’ Holiday Bungalow would be long felt need for Senior Sailors’ of SLNS Vidura. Finally, this long felt requirement came true with the guidance and assistance of the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Heads of all Departments and Commanding Officer of 01st Marine Battalion & SLNS Vidura.

 Moreover this facility will be a great opportunity for Senior Sailors’ to entertain their family members. Flag rank officers, Department heads of Eastern Naval Area, Commanding Officers’ of the Trincomalee Southern Naval Area were also present at the Occasion.
