Passing out and Insignia Awarding Ceremony of ‘Marine Basic Qualifying Course No – 08

The Insignia Awarding Ceremony of 8th Marine Basic Qualifying Course held at SLNS Vidura on 27th February 2023. Deputy Chief of Staff & Director General Operations, Rear Admiral RAPP Rathnayake, RWP, RSP*, USP, ndu, psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest, congratulated the passing out batch comprised of 13 Marines including 04 officers and 09 sailors, on successful completion of their training.

 Training of the batch is mainly focused on physical conditioning, watermanship, firing, handling of different small Arms, over the beach operations and military operations in urban terrains, enabling them to perform duties of Sri Lanka Navy in present security environment. Flag rank officers, Department heads, Commanding Officers and other naval personnel of the Eastern Naval area, try-services and host of family members of passed out Marines officers and sailors were also present at the occasion.
